Don has over 30 years of experience providing advice and counsel to corporate plan sponsors and mid-to-high net worth investors. Leveraging decades of experience and being a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner Don is able to bring a holistic approach to personal financial planning by helping clients pursue their life goals through the proper management of their resources.

Don has extensive expertise in working with corporate retirement plans. His comprehensive service model and innovative approach has kept him at the forefront of the retirement plan industry. As part of his service model, Don and his team spend over 20 weeks a year on the road providing critical education to both employees and plan sponsors. This has made him one of the most sought after retirement consultants on the market and distinguishes his services from the typical plan consultant.

As former president of RetireRight Pittsburgh, Don helps direct the company’s strategic plan for long term growth. Specifically, he focuses on developing professional partnerships and furthering the firm’s broader business relationships.

As an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst™, Don is able to educate retirement plans on ERISA compliance. A fiduciary is a financial advisor who is required by law and practice to act solely in the interests of and with undivided loyalty to their clients. A fiduciary’s advice and recommendations must align with your specific objectives, timeframe, and risk tolerance. When managing your assets, a fiduciary must strive for an optimal balance of risk and return. Don co-founded Financial Service Standards, LLC, which formalized one of the most comprehensive 401(k) plan management programs available. His program is call the 401k Service Solution™ for Plan Sponsors. While Financial Service Standards was purchased by Fi360 in 2013, Don remains the primary educator for the Professional Plan Consultant™ designation program at Robert Morris University. In this role, he trains advisors across the country by providing access to the 401k Service Solution™ along with the tool kit which forms the basis of Don's service model. Don co-authored The 401k Service Solution Handbook for Plan Sponsors and Fiduciaries and is a recognized speaker on qualified plan management and ERISA compliance issues.
